REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL The Town of Sylvan Lake is seeking proposals from qualified proponents for: Prequalification Submissions of General Contractors – CP1923-02 Northeast Gateway Water Supply Main The work involves constructing a 4.7 km, 550mm HDPE DR11 water main, connecting the North Municipal Water Reservoir to Cuendet Industrial Way. The scope of work includes: • Trenchless installation methods, primarily Horizontal Directional Drilling (HDD), with case bore augering required for the CN Rail crossing and HDD for the HWY 11A crossing. • Crossing of environmentally sensitive areas, including wetlands and Sylvan Creek, in compliance with Alberta Environment Code of Practice requirements. • Installation of isolation/gate valves, blow-off valves, and air release valves along the water main alignment. • Surface restoration of all disturbed areas, including paved roads, gravel roads, and landscapes such as wetlands. • Ongoing traffic management and maintenance of property access during construction. • Provision and implementation of testing, commissioning, and execution plans for the completed water main. The project aims to enhance the Town of Sylvan Lake’s water distribution capacity for current users and to support future development.
