    Description
    Yellowhead County is pleased to invite Proponents for a comprehensive Market Feasibility Study for the development potential, of a recreation and tourism - oriented development. Phase one of this program is proposed to be approximately 500 acres out of the total of 1855 acres of land adjacent to Jasper National Park which Yellowhead County recently acquired from the Government of Alberta. This purchase was authorized under the policies within the West Yellowhead Corridor Regional Integrated Decision. This policy document advocates for tourism and development nodes to be constructed within the Highway 16 corridor east of Jasper National Park. The land purchased by Yellowhead County can be identified as Node 9 within that policy document. This study will serve as the base for future marketing of the site to interested real estate development firms.
