City of Calgary - Request for Proposal - RFP 25-1681 - Consulting services for design, and regulatory permitting, and construction administration services for a FRAZIL ICE BOOM at the RAW2 water intake

The City is seeking an engineering consulting team, led by a firm prequalified in the Water Management or Hydraulic Structures disciplines under RFPQ 06-006 for engineering and architectural services, for the design and regulatory permitting of a river ice boom system to be installed near the Bearspaw RAW2 intake. The Consultant will support The City in delivering a complete design package, securing all necessary approvals, and preparing the project for construction procurement. The team will also support The City with the construction support services. This project anticipates the following Phases: • Phase 1: Project Management; • Phase 2: Background Review; • Phase 3: Site Investigation; • Phase 4: Preliminary Design; • Phase 5: Detailed Design; • Phase 6: Construction Procurement Preparation; and • Phase 7: Construction Administration Services. Unless otherwise stated in the Agreement Letter, the award under this RFP will be for Phases 1 to 5 of the Requirements, subject to approval by The City after each Phase. The City may elect to proceed with subsequent phases of the project, such as Phases 6: Construction Procurement Preparation and Phase 7: Construction Administration Services, at a later date, based on the Consultant’s performance, availability of budget, and the outcome of successful negotiations. This RFP is open to pre-qualified firms only. Proponents are invited who have been pre-qualified based on specific information previously submitted through The City’s Prequalification for Engineering and Architectural Consultants RFPQ 06-006. Proposals will only be considered from proponents that have achieved a pre-qualified status in the following discipline(s): • Water Management; or • Hydraulic Structures.
