Description
The University of Calgary (UCalgary) is collaborating with Fudan University (Fudan) to provide academic support for the ACT-GLOBAL study. Given the clinical trial and research landscape in China, each region has connected sites and researchers creating regional networks. For the Fudan network, UCalgary must work through a corporate entity to transfer budget to and from Fudan University. UCalgary’s collaborators at Fudan utilize Shanghai Funaolian Health Technology Co., Ltd. (FUNAO) as their partner to facilitate trial execution. As the local expert for executing trials in this region, FUNAO’s involvement and recommendations are critical to the trial’s success. Their deep understanding of the local regulatory environment and extensive experience in executing similar clinical trials ensure both compliance and operational efficiency. Specifically, FUNAO possesses specialized expertise in conducting stroke-related clinical trials within China and particularly within the Fudan network, which are essential to the success of the ACT-GLOBAL study.
Alternative vendors are not being considered as no other provider offers the same level of local experience, infrastructure, and established relationships as FUNAO. FUNAO is the only vendor capable of fulfilling the requirements for this clinical trial.
