University of Calgary - Advanced Contract Award Notice / Notice of Proposed Procurement - Clinical Trial Research Organization Agent

The University of Calgary (UCalgary) has a Clinical Trail Support Agreement with Beijing Tiantan Hospital, Capital Medical University (BTH)for the enrollment and oversight of each Clinical Site for the purpose of performing the Protocol. Under the agreement, UCalgary has a contractual obligation to make payments to BTH. The BTH has engaged Beijing Kutu Exhibition Co., Ltd. (BKEC) to act as its agent for the receipt of payment from UCalgary and disbursement of funds to Clinical Sites under the Clinical Trial Support Agreement. BKEC is acting as payment agent on behalf of the BTH for the purposes of facilitating participation in the “ACT-GLOBAL” clinical trial study. At UCalgary’s request, BKEC will accurately complete the required reporting spreadsheets or equivalent on-line reporting forms to meet any applicable government reporting requirements. Due to its established relationship with BTH , BKEC is the only vendor capable of providing the required services.
