University of Calgary - Advanced Contract Award Notice / Notice of Proposed Procurement - Clinical Trial Research Organization Support Services

The University of Calgary (UCalgary) intends to award a Clinical Trial Support Agreement to MEDISMART KLINIK ARAŞTIRMALAR VE ECZA DEPOSU TIC. A.Ş (MediSmart) for execution of the “ACT-GLOBAL” Protocol and oversight of each Clinical Site and providing general support for the quality aspects of each Study. MediSmart’s established working relationship with the principal investigator and collaborators in Turkey, as well as their existing infrastructure and staffing at the designated clinical sites, fully meets the requirements of the clinical trial. Their in-depth understanding of the local regulatory environment and proven experience in executing similar clinical trials ensure both compliance and operational efficiency. Specifically, MediSmart possesses specialized expertise in conducting stroke-related clinical trials within Turkey, including patient recruitment, site management, and data collection, which are critical to the success of the ACT-GLOBAL study. In addition, their team has previously executed clinical trial agreements and has research staff permanently stationed at the clinical sites, enabling immediate and seamless trial operations. Alternative vendors are not being considered as no other provider offers the same level of local experience, infrastructure, and established relationships as MediSmart.
