University of Calgary - Request for Proposal - University of Calgary Downtown Campus Catering

The purpose of this RFP is to receive proposal submissions from qualified and experienced Proponents interested in establishing a standing arrangement to be the preferred supplier(s) for Catering Services at the University of Calgary Downtown Campus (DTC). The University of Calgary is looking to establish a standing arrangement with multiple suppliers. The intent is to have an appropriate number of preferred suppliers to undertake these services when specific events cannot be accommodated by the University of Calgary’s resources. The successful Proponent(s) will be placed on University of Calgary’s Preferred Suppliers List. University of Calgary maintains a public listing of all preferred suppliers on its website: https://www.University of Calgary.ca/finance/suppliers/preferred-suppliers. The University of Calgary intends to enter into agreements with multiple, suppliers in order to maintain an appropriate number of Preferred Suppliers for these services. Successful Proponent(s) will be placed on University of Calgary’s Preferred Suppliers List. The University of Calgary Downtown Campus(DTC), which opened in the western edge of downtown Calgary in 2010, offers programs by the Haskayne School of Business (Executive Education and Master of Business Administration), the School of Public Policy, and Continuing Education. The University of Alberta delivers rehabilitation medicine programs from this campus. The University of Calgary Alumni Relations office and Waves Coffee are also present at the campus. A 5,000 square foot multi-purpose Event Centre, as well as a variety of multi-function event, classroom, and meeting spaces, provides opportunities for lectures, conferences and special events. The DTC advances the U of C’s community engagement strategies by strengthening relationships with alumni, corporate Calgary, the not-for-profit sector, and arts and cultural communities.
