University of Calgary - Advanced Contract Award Notice / Notice of Proposed Procurement - Dual-Energy X-ray Absorptiometer (DXA)

The University of Calgary intends to purchase the GE Lunar’s Dual-Energy X-ray Absorptiometer (DXA) model iDXA Pro including iDXA encore software from Aymes Medical, the single GE Healthcare approved DXA distributor and sole source of Bone Densitometry solutions from GE Healthcare in Canada. This system will complement the existing Lunar iDXA system and software currently used by the Human Performance Laboratory. Purchasing the same Lunar system is mandatory to maintain consistent hardware and software, connect to the existing network infrastructure to ensure seamless compatibility and consistent protocols which provide more reliable research results.
