University of Calgary - Advanced Contract Award Notice / Notice of Proposed Procurement - Veterinary Diagnostic Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS)

The University of Calgary, Faculty of Veterinary Medicine (Diagnostic Services Unit – DSU), requires a modern, cloud-based Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS) purpose-built for high-throughput veterinary diagnostic workflows. The system must support Canadian data residency, direct instrument integration without third-party middleware, secure SSO using UCalgary’s Entra ID, configurable test definitions, and comprehensive reporting. Based on extensive market benchmarking and vendor evaluation, Trace First (CoreOne for Labs) is the only supplier capable of meeting all mandatory DSU requirements within the required implementation timeline.
