Description
The University of Calgary (UCalgary) intends to purchase the On-Demand INDUCE-seq Solution (24 samples, with Set A Adapters) from Broken String Biosciences. INDUCE-seq® is a scalable, PCR-free platform for rapidly mapping both on-target and off-target DNA breaks induced during genome editing. Delivering data in as little as 2 days from sample processing, this cell-based assay offers single-nucleotide resolution, capturing each DNA break with a single sequencing read. Designed for high sensitivity, reproducibility, and genome-wide, unbiased detection, INDUCE-seq® is compatible with any gene editing system and adaptable to all cell types, including primary cells, iPSCs, and immortalized cells from diverse tissues. After a thorough market search for alternative technologies capable of supporting their gene-editing programs, the Department of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology found that no other commercially available solutions offer the necessary combination of specificity, sensitivity, and bias minimization required for accurate double-stranded breaks (DSBs) profiling. Broken String Biosciences’ patented Induce-Seq platform is the only solution that fulfills the full spectrum of technical and scientific requirements for comprehensive DSB profiling. It is the department’s understanding that the INDUCE-seq® platform is the sole technology on the market providing the unique combination of capabilities needed for their research objectives.
