Description
The City of Airdrie (the “City”) invites proposals from qualified and experienced vendors to supply, configure, deploy, and support an AI‑based Adaptive Traffic Signal Control Pilot Project along a selected corridor within the City. The purpose of this pilot is to transition from conventional time of day (TOD) signal timing plans to a real time adaptive control strategy that leverages the City’s existing traffic signal infrastructure, including Intelight controllers and video-based detection systems (Econolite and Iteris). The pilot project aims to improve traffic operations, reduce delays, enhance network performance, and evaluate scalability for future city-wide expansion.
Contract duration
The estimated contract period will be 24 month(s), with a proposed start date of 2026/07/01.
