Description
The objective of the Dam Safety Review is to assess and evaluate the safety of the Dickson Dam and its appurtenant structures, including identification and review of dam safety deficiencies, non-conformances, and operations, maintenance and surveillance (OMS) issues, along with recommendations for remediation and risk mitigation / management.
In general, the DSR shall comply with the requirements of the:
• Scope of Work and timelines as outlined in the attached TOR;
• Part 6 of Water (Ministerial) Regulation (205/1998);
• Alberta Dam and Canal Safety Directive, December 2018 (ADCSD, 2018);
• Alberta Agriculture and Irrigation’s Dam Safety Management Plan, October 2024 – Standards Document; and
• Dam Safety best practices, including Canadian Dam Association (CDA) Guidelines and Technical Bulletins.
Contract duration
The estimated contract period will be 9 month(s), with a proposed start date of 2026/06/15.
