Description
PROJECT OBJECTIVE: Refurbishment of some of the existing infrastructure to increase functionality.
SCOPE OF WORK:
Mobilization and Demobilization
Culvert Work
• Removal of grates on 5 culverts and removal of debris and ditch clearing at 10 culverts.
• Paint asphalt with high visibility traffic-grade paint where a culvert has heaved to resemble a speed bump.
Bicycle Racks
• Remove three existing bike racks and concrete – pour new concrete pilings. Supply and securely install three new CANAAN bike racks model CAH-706 color Pearl Green or equivalent product with approval of the project manager.
Barrier Free Picnic Table Area
• Supply and install four 26”x22” BBQ Grates (as shown in pictures) to designated picnic tables.
• Remove existing 2”x6” pressure treated lumber picnic tabletops on four tables. Supply and install 8’x2”x6” pressure treated lumber with overhang on one end to create Barrier Free Accessible tables.
• Move existing Concrete parking curbs at one location to create accessibility to picnic Barrier free tables.
• Supply and place 3/8” minus crushed limestone to four picnic table sites to create accessible pathways.
• Supply and install four 36” Flexible Delineators ULINE model H-4465Y or equivalent products with approval of the project manager.
Landscaping
• Remove dead bushes in designated areas.
• Supply and plant 50 Beaked Willow trees in grassy areas approaching beach area. (To be planted October 2026). Exact locations to be determined with the successful bidder during Kick-Off Meeting.
Gazebo & Miscellaneous Work
• Supply and install 3” o/c square cedar lattice on the 16’x32’ gazebo to provide a shaded area.
• Supply and install cedar wood for cladding around the bases of screw piles on existing gazebo (8 screw piles).
• Removal of the picnic table west of the concession building
Clean up of the site and remove all debris created during work. Clean up of work site is required and debris to be disposed of offsite, and not in Parks refuse containers.
Contract duration
The estimated contract period will be 5 month(s), with a proposed start date of 2026/06/01.
