Description
Inclusive Post Secondary Education (IPSE) is an established provincial initiative that supports adults eligible for Persons with Development Disabilities ( PDD ) services to access and participate in post secondary education within mainstream college and university settings. The initiative reflects a commitment to inclusion, lifelong learning, and pathways to employment for individuals with developmental disabilities. Supporting clients to find employment at the completion of the program is a key outcome of the services.
This project includes 16 post secondary institutions (PSIs) that provide access to their campuses and are supportive towards the Proponent delivering IPSE Services on their site(s). IPSE provides students the opportunity to engage in audited academic coursework, campus life, and employment related experiences within diverse institutional environments. Participation includes attendance in post secondary classes, involvement in student clubs and activities, engagement with peer groups, and exposure to campus based resources and services available to the general student population.
IPSE operates within varied post secondary contexts, each with its own academic structures, policies, supports, and campus culture. As a result, coordinated service delivery is required to ensure students receive appropriate supports that enable participation while respecting institutional roles and avoiding duplication of existing services.
The scope of this project includes the provision of IPSE supports across participating PSIs, throughout the academic year, over summer periods, and during transitions related to employment and program completion. Supports must be responsive to Client goals and changing needs as Clients progress through their post secondary experiences.
Contract duration
The estimated contract period will be 12 month(s), with a proposed start date of 2026/08/01.
