University of Calgary - Advanced Contract Award Notice / Notice of Proposed Procurement - Mesocosm System

The University of Calgary plans to purchase a fully integrated experimental mesocosm system from Integrated Aqua. The system is specifically designed to complement the Marna Lab Integrated Aqua mesocosm system at the Hakai Institute’s Quadra Island Observatory, a project partner. It is a mandatory requirement to maintain consistency which will enable coordinated experimental designs across two geographically distinct coastal ecosystems (Barkley Sound and Baynes Sound). This paired infrastructure will allow scientists to conduct replicated climate manipulation experiments providing data informing the mesocosm experiments at both sites.
