Infrastructure - Request for Proposal - RFP for PRIME CONSULTANT SERVICES for Calgary – Sam Livingston Fish Hatchery Drum Filter Replacement

Replacement of the six drum rotational fish waste filters and two water inlet reservoirs modification to a depth to increase filtration performance for the Sam Livingston Fish Hatchery (SLFH) water re-use system. The SLFH is a re-use (RAS) water system and the current drum filters are experiencing a performance and reliability issue. The consultant will review current water delivery infrastructure design, building space restrictions and the incoming water flow to be filtered. Recommendation to the contract government team on findings and solutions is expected prior to the delivery of detailed tender construction drawings. The proponent is expected to have team member(s) experience in aquaculture wastewater filtration, especially in drum filtration. There are six drum filters that will be replaced with three on the west side of the building and three on the east side of the building. A dedicated water line that feeds the spray bars inside the drum filter will also be an additional scope in the new design. The SLFH has an east and west biofiltration system that works independently of each other. A water inlet reservoir feeds the three drum filters on each side it is this reservoir we want to be reviewed and recommendation for modification. The proponent will provide detailed construction drawings that can be tendered no later than December 1st, 2026
