Description
The Ministry of Infrastructure plans, manages, and controls a significant real estate portfolio, on behalf of the Government of Alberta. Infrastructure’s mandate is to deliver an Asset Lifecycle Management (ALM) Program for its 12-billion-dollar portfolio. Infrastructure’s portfolio is equivalent to 2.8 million square meters of space that when combined with the 20 million square meters of assets owned by partner ministries and stakeholders is comprised of the following (both active and inactive):
• Buildings:
o Approximately 4000 leased or Province owned buildings and an additional 21,000 buildings related to external stakeholders
• Sites:
o Approximately 2800 leased or Province owned sites and an additional 4000 sites related to external stakeholders
• Certificate of Titles:
o Approximately 7000 certificates of title
