Description
Calgary Transit uses the Rockwell Automation SCADA Host software and programmable logic controllers (PLCs) to monitor and control electrical & mechanical (E&M) services in Light Rail Transit (LRT) and Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) systems. This includes the life safety Tunnel Ventilation System (TVS) on the west LRT line. Rockwell Automation FactoryTalk software and PLCs are proprietary. Westburne West is Rockwell Automation’s sole distributor in Alberta, Canada. An integrated services agreement with Westburne West is required to support and maintain the Rockwell Automation SCADA system.
