Automated Gene Synthesizer

The University of Alberta (the “University”) is located in Edmonton, Alberta. It is the largest post-secondary institution in the province. The University also ranks among the top five (5) universities in Canada. This Request for Proposal (RFP) is being issued on behalf of the Faculty of Medicine and Dentistry, Medical Microbiology and Immunology Department. The University is inviting Proponents with demonstrated experience in providing an Automated Gene Synthesizer. The instrument will be used to support campus researchers requiring specialized access to synthetic gene sequences. The successful Proponent will be expected to supply and install (if required) the equipment as well as provide virtual training (if required). The references to specific mechanisms used are for descriptive purposes only. The system indicates the minimum specifications acceptable to the end user but should not considered as the only acceptable system. The objective of this RFP is to select the best Proposal that meets the desired specifications. It is the intent of the University to select a supplier that offers the best value solution and quality equipment to ensure the success of this project.
