REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS
PURPOSE
The City of Surrey (the “City”) invites Proposals from experienced and qualified Proponents for the provision of all labour, material, equipment, transportation, and other related services to design, layout, manufacture and supply new playground equipment for Hawthorne Rotary Park located at 10513 144 Street, Surrey, B.C., and Cloverdale Athletic Park located at 6330 168 Street, Surrey, B.C.
BACKGROUND
The City manages a diverse network of neighbourhood and community parks containing playgrounds of varying ages, sizes, and conditions. Playgrounds serve a critical role in supporting physical, social, and cognitive development for children aged 2 to 12 years.
Several existing play equipment in both Hawthrone Rotary Park and Cloverdale Athletic Park has reached the end of their service life and require replacement to better serve the following age groups:Early childhood (2–5 years) School-aged (5–12 years)ADDENDA
If the City determines that an amendment is required to this RFP, the City Representative will issue a written addendum by posting it on the BC Bid website at www.bcbid.gov.bc.ca and the City website at www.surrey.ca (collectively, the “Websites”), and upon posting, any addenda will form part of this RFP. It is the responsibility of Proponents to check the Websites for addenda. The only way this RFP may be added to, or amended in any way, is by a formal written addendum. No other communication, whether written or oral, from any person will affect or modify the terms of this RFP or may be relied upon by any Proponent. By delivery of a Proposal the Proponent is deemed to have received, accepted and understood the entire RFP, including any and all addenda.
