REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS
SPECIFICATIONS OF GOODS AND SCOPE OF SERVICES
The synthetic turf surfacing system and related work included in this Proposal is to be as specified, including, but not specifically limited to, the following:
1. Supply and install a new synthetic turf surface (turf, infill and shock pad) to accommodate in the order of 3,000 hours of organized sport related use per year. The surfacing shall be a vertically draining, non-directional, tufted hybrid (monofilament/slit film) infilled synthetic turf system.
2. The synthetic turf system shall meet the following minimum specifications:Shall be infilled synthetic turf; Synthetic grass fibre height to be a minimum of 60 mm; Infill to include crumb rubber and silica sand (blended to conform with the FIFA laboratory testing report); Shock pad to be 23 mm thick with drainage channels Fibre to be a combination of monofilament and slit film fibres; Minimum 40 oz/sq. yd. face weight Min. 330 Micron fibre for the monofilament fibre, min. 100 micron for the slit film; Roll seams are to be sewn and all inlaid lines and markings to be glued; Product and quality control test criteria meeting or exceeding both FIFA Quality and FIFA Quality Pro standards; Provide minimum warranty standard outlined in Schedule A-1 – Artificial Turf Performance Specifications.The Work includes the provision of all equipment, labour, disposals, materials and incidentals required to complete all of the Work as described herein these documents for supply and installation of synthetic turf.
The Work includes but is not limited to: Removal and disposal of the existing synthetic turf and infill Video testing of selected existing drainage lines Infiltration testing of the existing permeable aggregates base Removal of the existing base gravel as required to accommodate a new shock pad Supply and installation of a new synthetic turf system including infill and shock pad Miscellaneous related workRefer to the project drawings and specifications for a complete description of the scope of the Work and services required.
ADDENDA
If the City determines that an amendment is required to this RFP, the City Representative will issue a written addendum by posting it on the BC Bid website at www.bcbid.gov.bc.ca and the City website at www.surrey.ca (collectively, the “Websites”), and upon posting, any addenda will form part of this RFP. It is the responsibility of Proponents to check the Websites for addenda. The only way this RFP may be added to, or amended in any way, is by a formal written addendum. No other communication, whether written or oral, from any person will affect or modify the terms of this RFP or may be relied upon by any Proponent. By delivery of a Proposal the Proponent is deemed to have received, accepted and understood the entire RFP, including any and all addenda.
