REQUEST FOR QUOTATIONS
SPECIFICATIONS OF GOODS AND SCOPE OF SERVICES
The City invites Quotations from experienced and qualified Contractors for the provision of everything required including all skilled labour, tools, materials, equipment to carry out designated work associated with mulching* of newly planted natural areas. The work to be provided is mainly for maintenance purposes but may also include other vegetation maintenance work.
*Note: mulch provided by the City.
The annual work program will be provided by the Urban Forestry Section and the Engineering Environment Section and work will be scheduled in advance.
The work must be done in accordance with:
• British Columbia Landscape and Nursery Association Standards
• City of Surrey Construction Standards
Mulching is the manual application, often by wheelbarrow and plastic garbage cans, of organic mulch material around each plant in recently planted areas.
The mulch materials are usually trucked to the site by the Contractor from the Parks Works Yard/Operations Centre or delivered to the site by the City.
ADDENDA
If the City determines that an amendment is required to this RFQ, the City Representative will issue a written addendum by posting it on the BC Bid Website at www.bcbid.gov.bc.ca and the City Website at www.surrey.ca (collectively, the “Websites”), and upon posting, any addenda will form part of this RFQ. It is the responsibility of Contractors to check the Websites for addenda. The only way this RFQ may be added to, or amended in any way, is by a formal written addendum. No other communication, whether written or oral, from any person will affect or modify the terms of this RFQ or may be relied upon by any Contractor. By delivery of a Quotation, the Contractor is deemed to have received, accepted and understood the entire RFQ, including any and all addenda.
