    REQUEST FOR QUOTATIONS

    SPECIFICATIONS OF GOODS AND SCOPE OF SERVICES

    The Contractor shall provide landscape and horticultural services for green walls meeting the requirements specified in Schedules A, A-1, A-2, and A3. General maintenance standards, as a minimum, include all applicable codes, regulations and safety requirements.

    The Contractor shall provide everything needed to meet all the requirements of the landscape and horticultural services agreement including, without limitation, all labour, supervision, materials, tools, equipment, fall protection and transportation to faithfully perform and provide the Services in Schedules A, A-1, A-2, and A-3. All Services must be performed to the complete satisfaction of the City.

    MAINTENANCE SPECIFICATIONS

    1. Plant Health:
    Inspect plants for signs of stress, disease or pest damage and take necessary actions to resolve the issue. Remove and replant dead plants as needed.

    2. Garden Structure: The Contractor will inspect the overall structure of garden. Check for and suppress any mold growth on the growing support/fabric. Also responsible for keeping the drainage system clear and free of debris.

    3. Weed Control: On each visit the Contractor is to provide weed control for the complete suppression/removal of weed growth. The use of pesticides is not permitted. All planted areas must be weed free after each visit. All material must be removed and disposed of off-site in an acceptable manner.

    4. Trimming: The Contractor will remove any excess plant material and train plant growth while ensuring the health of individual plants. All clippings must be removed and disposed of off-site in an acceptable manner.

    ADDENDA

    If the City determines that an amendment is required to this RFQ, the City Representative will issue a written addendum by posting it on the BC Bid Website at www.bcbid.gov.bc.ca and the City Website at www.surrey.ca (collectively, the “Websites”), and upon posting, any addenda will form part of this RFQ. It is the responsibility of Contractors to check the Websites for addenda. The only way this RFQ may be added to, or amended in any way, is by a formal written addendum. No other communication, whether written or oral, from any person will affect or modify the terms of this RFQ or may be relied upon by any Contractor. By delivery of a Quotation, the Contractor is deemed to have received, accepted and understood the entire RFQ, including any and all addenda.
