Notice of Intent to Award the Supply of One (1) Cargo Van and Telescopic Boom Lift
Notice is hereby given by the City of Abbotsford of its intent to award a contract to Dams Ford Lincoln Sales for the supply of One (1) Ford Transit-350 Cargo RWD Low Roof Van with a Telelift BOOM37I with continual rotation installed. The estimated value of the procurement is $140,000 CDN plus applicable taxes.
Background:
The City of Abbotsford did not call for competitive proposals for the following reasons:

Notice is hereby given by the City of Abbotsford of its intent to award a contract to Dams Ford Lincoln Sales for the supply of One (1) Ford Transit-350 Cargo RWD Low Roof Van with a Telelift BOOM37I with continual rotation installed. The estimated value of the procurement is $140,000 CDN plus applicable taxes.
Background:
The City of Abbotsford did not call for competitive proposals for the following reasons:
- The City has gone to market previously and the Ford Transit & Telelift BOOM37I was proven to be the best fit for the City Electrician requirements. This included safe operations and accessibility to the bucket.
- Continuous Rotation, lightweight, Energetic Efficiency- Environmentally Friendly (operating pressure 2000 lb/po2). No need for an auxiliary battery.
- Fuel Efficiency
- Overall Vehicle Size and interior space. (Clear space inside the van for lots of cargo). Payload approximately 2000 lbs.
- The ability to access tight spaces throughout the City rather than larger style vehicle and boomlift combinations.
