Description
Background
In February 2017, the City entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with a number of property owners and gravel operators for the Marshall Road Connector Project, which includes the re-alignment of a section of Ross Road.
As part of the project agreement, Fraser Valley Aggregates (FVA), through its contractor B&B Contracting Group (B&B), and Ross West Properties Ltd. are delivering the construction of the Marshall Road Connector up to the top of base gravel. The City is responsible for paving, signage, pavement markings, roadside barriers and shoulder gravel construction. Given B&B’s familiarity and presence at the site already and to minimize safety concerns around the number of different contractors working on the site, the City requested that B&B provide a quotation for the Marshall Road Connector roadside barriers and shoulder gravel construction.
The paving on Marshall Road Connector will be completed separately under the City’s Paving Program contract and is expected for September or October 2022.
The Marshall Road Connector is scheduled for opening in fall 2022.
