Description
Island Health is inviting proposals from individuals or agencies to provide Head Chef Services to lead its SM Culinary Program.
Many individuals living with mental health and substance use (“MHSU”) issues lack the skills and/or resources to purchase and prepare nutritious meals. “Souper Meals” (“SM”) is a program currently offered in Victoria directly by Island Health MHSU Services. The SM Culinary Program serves two purposes: it produces low cost nutritious food for sale to MHSU clients in the community and also provides a pre-vocational culinary-skills rehabilitation program for MHSU clients who participate in the food production.
