The Ministry of Education and Child Care (the “Ministry”) is seeking a service provider who can provide services in support of the provincial safety and wellness strategy with the objective of creating Safe and Caring Schools in BC schools, known as Expect Respect And a Safe Education ("ERASE").
The services will include, but are not limited to, the following:
a) an anonymous online Reporting Tool to report worrisome behavior (e.g. Bullying, threats to self or others, etc.);
b) a multi-level training program for educators and Community Partners to create Safe and Caring Schools, prevent Bullying, undertake Threat and Risk Assessment, and to improve multi-agency collaboration;
c) 24/7, 365 days per year, availability of trained Subject Matter Experts to provide Critical Incident Support services to assist schools in preventing and responding to safety incidents;
d) collaboration as a Subject Matter Expert to support priority projects at the Ministry, including but not limited to, the ERASE strategy services, developing provincial resources, informing provincial policy, and other needs; and
e) delivering and facilitating ERASE resources for educators, staff, and other school partners, including families/caretakers, students, law enforcement, and external community organizations.
The term of any Contract resulting from this RFP is anticipated to be three years with up to two, one-year options, to extend at the sole discretion of the Ministry.
The scope of services under this RFP includes the following:
