Description
BC Transit, in collaboration with the Ministry of Transportation and Infrastructure (MOTI), is procuring services for an engineering consultant to evaluate the feasibility of building RapidBus Stations on Highway 17. The study will illustrate the feasibility and impacts of upgrading existing bus stops on Highway 17 to the RapidBus Station standard as well as creating new transit stops on Highway 17. BC Transit and MOTI will use the outputs of this study to develop a Highway 17 RapidBus station investment plan. The primary objective is to identify easily implementable transit improvements.
BC Transit is seeking to retain an engineering consultant with experience completing designs for BC Highways including transit and active transportation infrastructure. An ideal proponent will be proactive in their project management and take the initiative to drive the study forward. It is important that the consultant be able to identify risks and cost considerations early in the feasibility assessment in order to meet required timelines and milestones. Engineering services must be completed by Professional Engineers registered with Engineers & Geoscientists British Columbia.
