Description
with a proven record of performance and experience in the type, kind, quality of work required by this document for the
Boiler Upgrade Project at Blueridge Elementary.
The new upgrade work will include all associated general, electrical and controls. The existing boilers, boiler venting,
wiring (power and controls), piping (hydronic, gas, and condensate) and zone circulating pumps are being replaced with
three high-efficiency condensing boilers as well as new zone circulating pumps (with integrated frequency converters).
Existing controls will be modified to work with the new boilers and pumps and the boiler control sequence updated to
account for the new heating plant configuration. Also included in the upgrade work is the new ventilation system for the
existing kiln which is also located in the Boiler Room. The Contractor shall also clean, make good, and paint the Boiler
Room floor in all areas where equipment (including existing concrete housekeeping pads) are removed. Additionally,the
Contractor shall provide a new concrete housekeeping pad for the new expansion tank.
