Description
The District of Kitimat is seeking proposals from interested parties to operate the Youth Centre facility within the District of Kitimat under the authority of a contract (the “contract”). The District of Kitimat has four objectives it wishes to meet:
• To maintain and improve the District of Kitimat Leisure Services Department service to the youth-at-risk in our community;
• To provide efficient service that benefits citizens of our community;
• To maintain high standards of service;
• To provide an opportunity for youth-at-risk ages 13 to 18 inclusive.
The Youth Centre is a valued element of our community and contributes significantly to our outstanding recreational opportunities.
The Youth Centre provides a safe haven for youth-at-risk in our community. The provision of quality service to the youth is fundamental to all programs offered in the Leisure Services facilities.
