Capital Regional District
Notice is hereby given that Capital Regional District (the “CRD”), intends to directly award a Contract to the following supplier to provide Trimble Real Time Network Service receiver infrastructure and other
hardware for the regional radio system at an estimated value of $125,000.
Cansel Survey Equipment Inc.

Calgary, Alberta
Cansel is the only authorized distributor for Trimble Inc. products in Canada.
In accordance with applicable trade agreements, CRD has chosen not to proceed with a competitive process for the following reason:
the goods or services can be supplied only by the selected supplier and no alternative or substitute exists for the following reason:
(a) to ensure compatibility with existing products/systems
(b) the protection of patents, copyrights or other exclusive rights
(c) due to an absence of competition for technical reasons
Vendors who wish to challenge this decision should submit a detailed written objection for the attention of Geoff Gullekson, by email to ggullekson@crd.bc.ca before 2:00pm Pacific Time, June 30. CRD will
review any and all issues received by this date and provide due consideration to each objection.
