    Notice of Intent to Award

    Notice is hereby given by the City of Abbotsford of its intent to award the purchase to Work Truck West for the following equipment on behalf of the City of Abbotsford:
     
    1. The City of Abbotsford (the City) is a member of Canoe Procurement Group of Canada and is eligible to procure through its cooperative contracts.
     
    1. Canoe Procurement Group of Canada’s cooperative contract leverages the national purchasing power of more than 50,000 member agencies while also streamlining the required purchasing process. As a municipal national contracting agency, Canoe Procurement Group of Canada’s Sourcewell establishes and provides nationally leveraged and competitively solicited purchasing contracts under the guidance of the Uniform Municipal Contracting Law. Joint Power laws enable members to legally purchase through the awarded contracts.
     
    1. The City of Abbotsford (Canoe Procurement Group of Canada’s Member #BC1086) is utilizing Canoe Procurement Group of Canada’s Contract #062222-DDY-1, Maturity Date: 15-AUG-2026 to procure the following equipment:
     
      1. Quantity: 6 - New Fisher XV2 Snow Plow 8’6”
      2. Quantity: 6 – New Fisher Tempest S220C Stainless Steel Hopper Spreader
     
    1. The budget for this procurement is for $200,000 cdn plus applicable taxes.

    Intent of Direct Award

    The City intends to award the purchases to Work Truck West utilizing Canoe Procurement Group of Canada’s cooperative contract. Firms wishing to object to this decision should email their objection by July 28, 2023, no later than 2:00pm, local time to purchasing@abbotsford.ca

    Suppliers objecting must provide specific reasons for their objection. The supplier’s ability to provide equipment of the same or better quality, within the required time frame will be the key criteria with regard to the consideration of supplier objections.
