Description
BC Parks is initiating a wildfire risk reduction/ ecosystem maintenance treatment within Moyie Lake Provincial Park. The project will include services as per the approved fuel management prescription on the BC Parks Wildfire Prevention Prescription template that reviews BC Parks Legislation. The services include but are not limited to, reducing the stems/ha and the continuity of forest fuels both vertically (i.e., ladder fuel potential), and horizontally (i.e., potential to sustain a crown fire), surface fuel clean-up, and pile and burning or removal off-site of residual material that is consistent with BC Park values and the Wildfire Risk Reduction objectives for mitigating wildfire spread in the wildland-urban interface. This phase of treatment will include a total of 6.0 ha. The successful Contractor will have until March 31st, 2024, to complete the pile burning or removal of fuel clean up off-site.

The estimated contract period will be 6 month(s).
