Description
The Molecular Diagnostics/Virology sections at the Animal Health Centre in the Plant and Animal Health Branch of the BC Ministry of Agriculture and Food are looking for a contractor to provide in-person wet lab services related to genomics methods. This project is part of the Sustainable Canadian Agricultural Partnership (SCAP) program and focuses on developing genomics-based diagnostics and surveillance tools. The contractor will work in the lab and collaborate with existing laboratory scientists to optimize the genomics extraction process for high-throughput sequencing, library preparation, and next-generation sequencing. The contractor will also provide data analysis services to develop diagnostic genomics for enhancing animal health in British Columbia. The contractor's work will be supervised by the Section Head of Virology, Molecular Diagnostics, and TSE.
