Digital Histopathology Equipment

The histology department in the Animal Health Centre provides an extensive range of histopathology services to veterinary pathologists and clients. Currently the histology department provides traditional glass slides for pathologist review and interpretation which limits abilities to share information, consult with other professionals in the field, perform education and training and allow for remote work opportunities.  The AHC is exploring opportunities to perform digital pathology service in the centre to address some of the challenges associated with traditional histopathology services.
Ministry of Agriculture and Food is issuing this RFI to explore current digital histopathology equipment on the market and to understand potential equipment capabilities, use and installation requirements and associated software needs.
