Gorge Road Hospital 3rd Floor Restorative Health - Consulting Services

This Request for Proposal (RFP) is for:
1. Architectural firms as Prime/Managing Consultant,
2. Electrical Engineering,
3. Mechanical Engineering,
This RFP is for individual consultant firms; it is not for consultant teams. Island Health will engage each of the consultants separately.

A need has been identified to centralize the rehabilitation services that Island Health offers. Gorge Road Hospital has been selected as a site to house in and outpatient services. Renovations will be to the 3rd floor of the main building and the tower. The main building is a wood frame structure, the tower is a concrete post and beam style of construction. Construction will likely be phased. Scope of renovation is forecasted as below, but not confirmed:
3rd floor – Main building
- walls/ceilings moved or relocated as required
- refresh of finishes as required
- electrical and data moves/relocates – possible addition of new data room
- re-work of existing mechanical systems
3rd floor tower
- walls/ceilings moved or relocated as required
- refresh of finishes as required
- electrical and data moves/relocates – possible addition of new data room
- upgrade to the air handling unit serving the 3rd and 4th floor
