Description
The Cowichan Valley Regional District (CVRD) is offering 419 used / obsolete rolling containers through this Expression of Interest. These containers have been taken out of service from the CVRD curbside garbage collection program.
Most of the containers are 140 litres in size, with a few larger ones available. Each container is dark grey and has the CVRD logo hotstamped into it; containers will require washing but are all in usable condition. The containers are currently stacked and stored at Bings Creek in rolloff bins, and the wheels and axles have been removed and are stacked and palletized. There is no limit to how many containers each organization may take.
These containers can be repurposed for various uses, including storing refundable bottles and cans, road salt and sand, garden supplies, pet food, rainwater collection, or landscape clippings. These containers are not to be repurposed for curbside garbage collection.
