    Description
    Invasive Western Mosquitofish assessment in Fishtrap Creek. This project will investigate the spread of invasive Western Mosquitofish in Fishtrap Creek, which were discovered in 2023. The project will assess the feasibility of eradication, containment, or other control options. Both Nooksack Dace and Salish Sucker have critical habitat in Fishtrap Creek and may be impacted by invasive Western Mosquitofish. Negative impacts attributed to Western Mosquitofish invasions in other areas include competing with or preying on small native fishes, and introduction of pathogens.
