Description
The Ministry of Forests invites Proposals from Proponents specializing in aerial application of the insecticide Foray 48B or Btk for the control of Western Spruce Budworm. The objective of this project is to minimize feeding damage (e.g., growth reduction, top kill, tree mortality) by reducing population sizes of this defoliator in the proposed 20,000 ha of treatment. This project is planned to take place in the South Coast Region in the Chilliwack and Sea to Sky Natural Resource Districts. The total hectares to be treated in 2026 is contingent upon insect population, funding, and weather conditions.
