Description
Notice is hereby given by the City of Vancouver (City) of its intent to contract with Better Environmentally Sound Transportation (“BEST”) for the supply and delivery of Eco-Voyage workshops, commencing in spring 2026.
Founded in 1991, Better Environmentally Sound Transportation (BEST) promotes sustainable transportation and mobility options in Vancouver and across British Columbia through programs, partnerships, and leadership. Its initiatives include Bike Valet, Seniors on the Move, Eco-Voyage, and Living Streets.
Eco-Voyage delivers intergenerational workshops designed to help individuals—particularly newcomers and youth—navigate Vancouver’s transportation system. Through multilingual sessions, participants learn about multimodal travel options via classroom instruction and hands-on excursions that build skills, confidence, and peer connections.
In addition to these initiatives, BEST provides multilingual resources to support ongoing use of Vancouver’s transportation network. These resources cover topics such as pedestrian safety, cycling routes and etiquette, public transit use and fares, and car-share options. These materials have empowered residents of all ages and abilities to make informed, sustainable travel choices, raised awareness of active transportation infrastructure, and encouraged continued use of sustainable travel options.
Based on the success of these programs since 2022, and to maintain business continuity, the City intends to extend its partnership with BEST for a term of up to two years.
Contract Term: The contract is valued at approximately $16,100 and may be extended on an as-needed basis.
Anyone wishing to request more information and/or has any questions with regard to this NOITC may use the Q&A Board of the event on the City of Vancouver supplier portal prior to the closing date and time.
