    Description
    Project Overview
Canada lacks a clearly defined trade strategy that looks to maximize strategic export opportunities associated with the build-out of clean electricity supply chains—inclusive of renewable generation, battery storage and grid technologies.
To address this, SFU’s Clean Energy Canada aims to equip federal decision makers with new analysis that could guide a policy framework to ensure that Canada is strategically positioned to access priority international markets.
To this end, Clean Energy Canada seeks the services of a consultant to identify, prioritize, substantiate, and quantify compelling export opportunities for Canada along global clean electricity supply chains, over the time period 2026-2035.

    Deliverables
    The proponent will:
    1. Identify and define the specific technologies (inclusive of key components, sub-components and related services) for study.
    2. Conduct a top-down assessment of Canada’s electricity supply chains evaluating Canada's existing and credible forward-looking capacity.
    3. Quantify and evaluate specific trade opportunities for Canada, based on regional / jurisdictional profiles that showcase the potential.
    4. Deliver a final report that summarizes the above information, evaluating where Canada could further develop a strategic position to supply the identified target markets
