Simon Fraser University is inviting interested vendors to submit their qualifi cations for the design, fabrication, delivery and installation of a custom prefabricated modular building structure. This project serves as the critical enabling works phase for the upcoming major renovation and renewal of the existing Shrum Biology building. To ensure continuity of research during renovations, this temporary facility will house a laboratory research environment for marine animals. Important Notice: This is a non-priced Request for Qualifi cations (RFQ) . This RFSQ process is intended to identify potential proponents(s) who may be invited to participate in the next phase of the competitive procurement process. However, SFU is under no obligation to invite any proponent in the next phase. The form of contract will be directly with SFU, and is proposed to be a CCDC 17 with SFU’s Supplementary Conditions.
Procurement Timeline:
● RFQ Issuance: June 10th, 2026
● RFQ Closing date: June 18th, 2026 at 2:00pm
● Deadline for questions/clarifi cations: June 15th, 2026
● Evaluation Period: 2 weeks
● Issuance of closed tender to shortlisted trades: July 2026
● Expected contract award: August 2026
