Description
This Request for Supplier Qualifications (“RFSQ”) is an invitation by the Vancouver Island Health Authority (“Island Health”) to prospective respondents to qualify for eligibility to provide Pharmacy Services in Mental Health and Substance Use Health Care Community Settings, as further described in Section A of the RFSQ Particulars (Appendix A) (the “Deliverables”).
Island Health Mental Health and Substance Use (MHSU) and Addiction Medicine and Substance Use Services (AMSU) offer services to adults with serious mental illness and/or substance use disorders throughout Vancouver Island and the surrounding islands, as well as the mainland communities north of Powell River and south of Rivers Inlet. MHSU/AMSU programs offered within community settings, include short and longer-term tertiary rehabilitation services, short term substance use treatment, supportive recovery services, and short and longer-term supported housing services. Clients eligible for admission to these “Community Services” have combinations of mental illnesses, substance use disorders, and other health issues and are typically prescribed a range of medications depending on diagnosis. Island Health MHSU/AMSU are interested in establishing a list of qualified vendors to provide pharmacy services to clients accessing MHSU/AMSU Community Services (MHSUCS).
