    Description
    VGN Resources Group Inc. (VGN) will be the Program Administrator for projects under the Ministry of Agriculture and Food's (Ministry) extension programming for environment and climate change.  This NOI and project is administered by VGN on behalf of the Ministry. 

    This contract supports scaling up of Targeted Grazing at a regional and provincial level, moving it from testing and pilots to an operationally available and accessible management tool.  The elements of the project address information and process gaps limiting operational implementation and adoption. The high-level details of the contemplated contract are generally described below.

    This project leverages and utilizes prior work, building on existing data, tools and information products in conjunction with emerging practical-application-focused collaboration among the BC Ministry of Agriculture and Food (AF), BC Ministry of Forests (FOR), BC Wildfire Service (BCWS) and BC Cattlemen’s Association (BCCA). 
    The project is directed to professional services encompassing development of planning, process and implementation tools which:define the pathways and processes needed for operational implementation of Targeted Grazing as an available, accessible and repeatable management tool for the ranching sector which contributes to both industry competitiveness and risk management; and, identify and analyze associated costs and benefits of targeted grazing as a standard operational tool.

    Contract duration

    The estimated contract period will be 19 month(s).
