3326 - Generator Installations at South Fork Water Treatment Plant and College Park Water Station

The City of Nanaimo is requesting proposals from qualified professionals for the replacement and addition of generators located at the South Fork Water Treatment Plant and College Park Water Station respectively.  The purpose of this is to provide an enhancement of the existing standby backup power system, to deliver overall system redundancy, reliability, performance, and flexibility. The South Fork Water Treatment Plant located at 2500 South Fork Road requires replacing the existing 400 kW, 600 V, Three Phase, 60 Hz standby backup generator with two paralleling, load sharing standby backup generators. The College Park Water Supply Station located at 1071 College Drive requires full electrical backup power with a new standby 175 kW, 600 V, Three Phase, 60 Hz generator, for standby backup during BC Hydro interruptions.
