    Description
Located in the city of Prince George, B.C., the University of Northern British Columbia (the “University” or “UNBC”) has a passion for teaching, discovery, people, the environment, research, and the north. UNBC has been ranked in Maclean’s top Undergraduate Universities in Canada.  With approximately 1100 faculty and staff, and 3500 full time students, UNBC is committed to the health and well-being of our university community.

UNBC is seeking proposals from qualified consultants and/or consulting firms to assist in the development of a comprehensive strategic plan that will focus on the University’s values, services and vision for the future.
The Consultant, in consultation with the University Board of Governors and our key stakeholders, will integrate current plans, priorities and literature as a base to prepare a comprehensive plan which would map out the strategic direction for the University for the next 5 years (2023 – 2028). This strategic framework will include priorities, strategies, goals and objectives.

The Consultant will work directly with the President’s office and a steering committee to develop an appropriate model and methodology for the strategic planning exercise.

Given the nature of UNBC as a public institution, the process will be highly consultative and inclusive in the proposed methodology should reflect the importance of our many stakeholders. In addition to the University Board of Governors and executive leadership, our stakeholders include faculty, staff, students, government and communities.

    Excluded from Scope
The Consultant will not produce business / operating plans.
