Description
The owner invites proposals from qualified construction contractors for the reconstruction of Golden's downtown plaza beginning in spring 2023. This central downtown plaza represents an important yet underutilized public space within Golden’s downtown core. The plaza was constructed in 1987 as part of a downtown revitalization initiative and includes a fountain, pump/irrigation vault, subsurface piping, concrete surfacing, benches, garbage receptacles, and a bike rack. The aging and costly infrastructure/maintenance of the pump and fountain combined with the need for surfacing improvements throughout the plaza, represent an opportunity to update and modernize a key public space within Golden’s beautiful historic downtown.
