Working in partnership with Fort Nelson First Nations, the BC Ministry of Land, Water and Resource Stewardship is seeking helicopter services to support the aerial-based deployment of radio-collars on wolves in the Fort Nelson area during the winter of 2022-2023. Helicopter and piloting services are needed to support BC Ministry staff that will be leading the aerial capture and radio-collaring of up to 29 wolves in the Maxhamish and Snake-Sahteneh regions of Northeast BC, based out of Fort Nelson. Anticipated flight time will be between 100–115 hours. Tentative work dates could range between December 2022 and end of March 2023. This contract may be renewed upon satisfactory service and if the monitoring project continues in the following winter.

Ministry Staff will conduct the net-gunning capture of wolves and provide all necessary wildlife capture equipment.
