“Tender for Skyview Campground Improvements at E. C. Manning Provincial Park, ENV25-
BCP-006” WILL BE RECEIVED UNTIL 1:00 PM Pacific Time, August 9, 2024, at the Ministry of Environment
& Climate Change Strategy, Okanagan Region, 102 Industrial Place Penticton, BC V2A 7C8.
E.C. Manning Park sits at the heart of the Cascade Mountains. It is within a three-hour drive of both the Lower Mainland and the Okanagan. An extraordinarily diverse landscape, easy access, and countless recreational opportunities make this one of British Columbia’s most popular parks.E.C. Manning Park offers four drive-in campgrounds for summer camping. There are also many opportunities for backcountry camping. The park has a large variety of trails, which range from 15-minute walks to six-day backcountry hikes. These provide access to unique floral displays and scenic views.
Improvements are located in Skyview Campground and surrounding amenities within E.C. Manning Park. This tender includes the replacement of the water and electrical service pedestals in four (4) campsites,
replacement of a concrete water valve box, catch-basin and drywell installation, 20-Minute Lake Trail
Bridge, stairs for the Day-use elevated pit toilets, and water fountain installation.
In general, the work consists of the following:
· Supply and install four (4) water service connections.
· Install four (4) Owner-supplied electrical pedestals.
· Supply and install catch-basin and drywell assembly.
· Remove and replace existing concrete valve box.
· Install Owner-supplied water fountain.
· Erect Owner-supplied timber bridge
· Supply and install aluminum stairs and handrail.
· Supply and install Information Shelter
