Solicitation number BCFH26DRM0001_RFQ
Publication date
Closing date and time 2025/05/05 11:00 EDT
Description
This contract will involve the setup, maintenance, checking, and take-down of funnel traps in various locations throughout the Rocky Mountain District – typically in recent cutblocks and adjacent to recent wildfires and prescribed burns. For the 2025 funnel trapping season the majority of the sites will already be established since the beetle flight is likely to occur prior to the closing date of this contract. If an option to renew is exercised the winning contractor will be responsible for setting up the trapping sites in April of 2026 & 2027. The day rates are inclusive of transportation costs (typically 4x4 pickup truck). Setup is done in early April, the sites are checked biweekly until the end of September, then the traps are taken down and brought back to the Ministry of Forest office in Cranbrook.
